Management buy-out of iCADA GmbH
Ludwigshafen, Germany, 27. June 2010 — A management
group has acquired iCADA GmbH for an undisclosed price.
iCADA will maintain its operation in Ludwigshafen and will continue to offer reticle management solutions for the semiconductor industry.
“A company being fully focused on critical and highly specialized automation solutions, given the economic constraints of the semiconductor industry, is the best answer for our customers,” said Tobias Ferber, CTO of iCADA, in a statement and continued “with this MBO we have also added to our team extensive management experience in the fields of strategic leadership, finance and marketing.”
iCADA provides an award winning reticle management solution that covers the entire reticle life cycle in the wafer fab. The software is used in production by several semiconductor companies for more than 10 years, and has been setting the standards for reticle information management in the semiconductor industry.
iCADA was founded in 1999 and then, in 2008, its majority had been acquired by the Tec-Sem Group (Switzerland).
